When is the soonest you can get tested for HIV after a risky encounter?If I get tested three days before the four, six, or eight week mark - whatever is recommended is it going to make a difference?

Welcome to the forum.
The data on test reliability at various times after HIV exposure are not all that precise.It isn't known whether 3 days makes a difference at 6 or 8 weeks, but probably not.If you had a negative test any time 6 or more weeks after exposure, you can be sure you didn't catch HIV. I agree with the comment you had on the community forum about diarrhea:early HIV infection doesn't cause it.
For more information, use this forum's search function.I just tried entering "time to positive HIV test" and it identified over 2,000 threads."Window period" found 566.
