When to get tested
by dontwanttowait, Jul 20, 2010 02:33PM
When is the soonest you can get tested for HIV after a risky encounter? If I get tested three days before the four, six, or eight week mark - whatever is recommended is it going to make a difference?

Welcome to the forum.
The data on test reliability at various times after HIV exposure are not all that precise. It isn't known whether 3 days makes a difference at 6 or 8 weeks, but probably not. If you had a negative test any time 6 or more weeks after exposure, you can be sure you didn't catch HIV. I agree with the comment you had on the community forum about diarrhea: early HIV infection doesn't cause it.
For more information, use this forum's search function. I just tried entering "time to positive HIV test" and it identified over 2,000 threads. "Window period" found 566.

脱不脱看个人了,提供个参考(这个可是最新的帖子),Dr.hh大牛人说如果在6周以后得到阴的记过,你可以确认没有得HIV |
